Charles Westwood's "Sighs of Gregory" is the debut LP and definitive concept-album from independent singer-songwriter Charles Westwood (the creative moniker of multi-instrumentalist Luca Heil). Written and recorded over a two-year window between 2024 and 2026, the 12-track record serves as a deeply personal reflection on change, memory, grief and movement in life.
Deliberately devoid of traditional song structures, the album rejects the predictability and constraints of modern playlist formulas. Instead, the record functions as a singular, flowing emotional pull through the raw, unflinching confrontation of one's own history, imagination, preconceptions and personal loss.
The album was promoted with three singles ("Weird Colours", "life in motion." and "The Last Turn") and respective music videos.
"Sighs of Gregory" was written, produced and recorded by Luca Heil, mixed by Markus Abendroth (DOTA, Max Prosa, Die Höchste Eisenbahn) at Zodiaque Tonproduktion Berlin and mastered by Stuart Hawkes (Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse, Avicii) at Metropolis Studios London.
