Charles Westwood

Charles Westwood is a singer-songwriter whose work lives between memory and movement.

Drawing from folk traditions, alternative songwriting, and the spaces between them, his music explores topics of grief, faith, change, and the strange beauty of being alive within all of it. His songs are often built around fingerpicked guitars, layered voices, and poetic imagery, seeking not to provide answers but to sit with the questions that shape a life and the movement within it.

His debut record, Sighs of Gregory, is a collection of songs written over the span of three years of reflection and change. Moving from restless winter nights to the stillness of late summer and early autumn, the album traces a journey through loss, wonder, uncertainty, and renewal. At its heart lies a fascination with the moments that transform us: the people we lose, the places we leave behind, and the quiet grace that remains.

Influenced by artists such as Hozier, Ben Howard, Gang of Youths, Bon Iver, and Tom Odell, Westwood's music combines intimate storytelling with expansive arrangements, creating songs that feel equally at home in a crowded room or a walk alone at dusk.

Above all, his work is concerned with movement. With carrying on, with returning, and with finding light in the changing seasons of a life.
